About Me

I’m Michelle Gomez, a multimedia specialist and storyteller with a passion for capturing the world through photography and video. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Moving Image Arts and my Master of Science in Mass Communications from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where I developed a strong foundation in film, media production, and creative communication.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience in a wide range of projects — from promotional shoots and live event coverage to social media content creation and sports broadcasting. As a Multimedia Specialist at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, I’ve filmed, edited, and produced videos for university events, workshops, and online platforms, always with the goal of creating engaging content that connects with diverse audiences. My toolkit includes Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Canva, and Adobe Audition, and I enjoy finding new ways to blend creativity with technical skill.

In addition to production, I have a strong background in organization, customer service, and collaboration. My work has often required balancing tight deadlines, managing large archives of photos and videos, and coordinating with teams to ensure every project runs smoothly. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, which has allowed me to connect with even more people and share stories across different communities.

For me, photography and videography aren’t just creative outlets — they’re ways of preserving memories, highlighting artistry, and helping individuals and organizations showcase their best work. Whether it’s a theatrical performance, a milestone event, or a promotional shoot, I strive to create visuals that capture both the beauty of the moment and the story behind it.
